Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Laundry Assistant to join our team at one of our award-winning care homes. As a Laundry Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laundry services, providing exceptional care and attention to detail to our residents' personal items.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the efficient operation of the laundry room, ensuring that all equipment is clean and well-maintained.
Provide personalized care and attention to residents' personal items, including washing, drying, and ironing.
Perform minor repairs to residents' personal items of clothing, taking into account individual needs and preferences.
Work collaboratively with the Housekeeper and domestic team to ensure seamless laundry services.
Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment, promoting a culture of kindness, compassion, and excellence.
Requirements
Experience working in a similar environment, preferably in a care home or residential setting.
Proven laundry experience, with a focus on attention to detail and quality of service.
A caring and compassionate nature, with the ability to provide personalized care and attention to residents.
Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work under pressure and respond to changing needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and residents.
