Position Overview:


We seek a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to aid our project teams in overseeing costs, contracts, and ensuring the financial viability of our projects.

The ideal candidate will engage in a diverse range of stimulating projects, from new constructions to renovations, and will be instrumental in delivering outstanding outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Management: Assist in the formulation and oversight of project budgets, ensuring financial control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Tendering: Aid in the creation and assessment of tender documents, contributing to the acquisition of competitive and profitable contracts.
  • Valuations: Perform regular site valuations to evaluate work progress and guarantee precise invoicing.
  • Contract Administration: Support in managing contracts, including preparing variations, evaluating claims, and ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Procurement: Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely provision of materials and services, negotiating favorable terms where applicable.
  • Project Support: Provide assistance to senior QS personnel in all facets of project management, ensuring timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
  • Reporting: Generate regular financial reports and forecasts for senior management, emphasizing key issues and risks.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Prior experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the construction sector, focusing on new builds and refurbishments.
  • Education: A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Skills: Strong numerical and analytical abilities, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to collaborate effectively with project teams and clients.
  • IT Proficiency: Competence in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized and adept at managing multiple tasks concurrently.
