About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist to join our team at Getac. As a Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for managing our demo stock, providing technical support, and ensuring the smooth operation of our technical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demo Management:
    • Capture demand and arrange the order of Alpha, Beta, and MP Units
    • Provide recommendations for ordering accessories
    • Return Alpha/Beta units for credit
    • Apply ECNs/PCNs to demo stock and maintain a detailed log of applied changes
    • Manage the demo system on a daily basis
    • Arrange shipments and fit accessories as needed
    • Re-image returned units and complete the return process
    • Manage the recycling of old devices and accessories
    • Monitor and manage demo stock levels across all areas
    • Chase outstanding demo from customers
    • Prepare and submit monthly reports on outstanding demo kits for return
    • Collect and distribute customer feedback
  • Technical Support:
    • Manage technical issues and escalate them as necessary
    • Provide customer-facing technical support
    • Document and log all technical issues in a central database and ensure all issues are up-to-date
    • Provide proactive support on products and projects to anticipate and escalate potential issues to management and GTC technical teams
    • Identify key solution vendors critical to customers and share details with the EMEA solutions team
Requirements
  • 2 years of general experience within the IT environment
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of PC architecture, including operating systems and BIOS
Competencies
  • A self-motivated individual capable of working independently and within a small team and other departments
  • Advanced skills in standard Microsoft Office packages
  • Ability to manage multiple issues and prioritize accordingly
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills for both internal and external correspondence
  • Analytics skills and data management
