Job Description

**Job Title:** Optometrist - Eye Care Specialist

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Optometrist to join our team at Joseph Hayes Opticians. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional eye care services to our patients, working closely with our team to deliver high-quality care and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine eyes of patients of all ages to diagnose and treat various eye conditions
  • Prescribe and fit spectacles or contact lenses to correct vision defects
  • Offer advice and reassurance to patients on vision-related matters
  • Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other medical practitioners
  • Meet sales targets for spectacles and contact lenses
  • Perform administrative tasks, including maintaining patient records and adhering to GDPR best practice

Requirements:

  • Qualified Optometrist with a degree in Optometry and membership of the General Optical Council
  • Strong clinical knowledge and experience in providing excellent eye care services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
