Our client, a prominent player in the structural steel sector, boasts a rich legacy and a varied project portfolio. They are in search of a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to enhance their vibrant team in the New Forest region. As an integral part of the project management unit, you will be pivotal in driving project success through strategic decision-making and effective collaboration.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate budget versus expenditure dynamics utilizing ERP data.
- Oversee time management, labor allocation, and financial outlays for all project components.
- Produce weekly reports to assist project managers in navigating commercial challenges.
- Steer risk management and cost control strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Offer insights on contractual issues, ensuring adherence to legal and quality standards.
- Emphasize safety, environmental stewardship, and corporate values.
Essential Skills:
- Strong communication abilities, both internally and externally.
- Foster robust relationships to encourage teamwork and collaboration.
- Familiarity with NEC or JCT contracts within the construction sector.
Required Experience:
- Prior experience in a comparable role.
- Preferred knowledge of the construction industry.
