The University of Cambridge, in collaboration with the University of East Anglia and the Wellcome Sanger Institute, invites applications for PhD fellowships in the field of health sciences. The programme offers a unique opportunity for healthcare professionals to pursue a PhD in a research-intensive environment.

  • Funding for clinical salary, university composition fees, and research consumables for 3 years
  • Up to three months of additional salary support for research experience before commencing the PhD

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Qualified in clinical, dental, or veterinary medicine or a non-medical health professional
  • Registered with a national professional regulatory body in the UK
  • Medical and dental applicants must be eligible for GMC/GDC registration and in a training grade
  • Veterinary applicants must have achieved board certification and not hold an academic position
  • Non-medical healthcare professionals must possess relevant research experience
