We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Commissioning Manager to join our proactive and innovative team at Expleo Technology.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all activities in line with Company, Customer, and project requirements, defining and implementing the Commissioning Strategy for the project.

As the focal point for the Company, Customer, and sub-contractors, the Commissioning Manager will ensure all activities are planned, assessed, and managed so that risks or hazards are adequately identified and controlled to ensure compliance with relevant Company and Customer standards, expectations, rules, and procedures.

The Commissioning Manager will set and uphold standards and expectations in line with Company initiatives such as People Who Do The Right Thing and People Who Lead Safely.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Organizing and obtaining sufficient resources to deliver the applicable work scope as described in the contract and/or project documentation.
  • Overseeing the implementation of work to ensure that it meets the required technical and quality standards - hence delivered right first time.
  • Ensuring suitable Safe Systems of Work (Risk Assessments, Methods Statements, etc.) are produced so that supervisors and work teams can be effectively set to work, supervised, and are provided with adequate instruction and information so as to complete the work task safely.
  • Managing and controlling sub-contractors where applicable.
  • Reviewing and assessing training and competency records of personnel (including those of sub-contractors) to ensure that those assigned to undertake tasks are competent to do so.
  • Providing regular reports, information, and statistics to the Company and/or Customer to demonstrate performance against Safety, Quality, Time, and Cost criteria.
  • Carrying out regular workplace inspections to ensure compliance with relevant Company and Customer standards, expectations, rules, and procedures.
  • Immediately reporting any unplanned events or incidents in line with Company and Customer procedures.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Lead Commissioning Engineer or Commissioning Manager in a highly regulated environment, such as Nuclear, Energy, Petrochem, or O&G sectors.
  • A minimum of 15 years' experience in a commissioning position working in a highly regulated environment, such as Nuclear, Energy, Petrochem, or O&G sectors.
  • Experience in managing a multi-discipline delivery team, including completions, commissioning, and handovers.
  • Experience of document management and production of Commissioning documents, including STW, FAT, and SAT.
  • Comfortable working with suppliers, partners, clients, and stakeholders at various levels, up to director level.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing complex commissioning projects in a highly regulated environment, preferably Nuclear.

The successful candidate must be willing to work inside IR35 and have a minimum of 2 days per week available for site and supplier ad-hoc visits, as well as final commissioning on site, which would be full-time site-based.
