About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at RECRUITMENTiQ, working in partnership with a leading mooring systems technology company for the global energy market. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions for energy markets, including floating offshore wind.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform calculations to support and verify design work, utilizing Finite Element Analysis where applicable.
  • Participate in project design reviews and failure mode effect and criticality analysis.
  • Develop and manage 3D models and technical drawings.
  • Check and approve the output of other design engineers.
  • Prepare project-specific documents for presentation to clients, authorities, and third parties.
  • Meet with clients and users to determine their requirements.
  • Present design solutions to interested parties.
  • Prepare draft purchase orders and oversee testing and reporting conclusions.
Requirements
  • BSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum three years' experience in a similar position.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • 3D CAD knowledge, preferably in SolidWorks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Honesty, reliability, and discretion when handling confidential information.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Experience working with and overseeing suppliers.
  • Experience working in or designing for the offshore industry.
