About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist/Advanced to join our team at South Gloucestershire Council. As an Occupational Therapist/Advanced, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals to live independently and promoting their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify individuals' needs and develop personalized support plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals and social care practitioners, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on equipment and adaptations to support individuals in their homes.
  • Develop and implement risk assessments to empower individuals to reach their full potential.
  • Advise and inform individuals and their carers about available services, including those under the Care Act.
  • Work within the 3 Conversations Model, utilizing a strength-based approach to support individuals.
  • Make recommendations for budget spend to ensure maximum value is delivered for resources deployed.
  • Support students on placement as an experienced practitioner and contribute to the development of the Occupational Therapy team.
Requirements
  • Professional Occupational Therapy Qualification, Dip COT, BSc Honours OT, or equivalent.
  • Current State Registration and registration with the Health Professionals Council.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience as an Occupational Therapist/Advanced.
  • Clear commitment to Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
  • Excellent time management skills to meet service requirements.
