Position Overview:
We are seeking a Versatile Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be tasked with both reactive and planned maintenance activities to ensure optimal operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance all equipment, processes, and assets to ensure safety, efficiency, and reliability.
- Conduct daily maintenance and improvements on plant and services.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety standards.
- Complete planned preventive maintenance tasks and develop improved maintenance practices.
- Diagnose and rectify equipment faults promptly to maintain smooth operations.
- Promote health and safety best practices.
- Test, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Identify and report machinery defects or signs of potential failure, providing data for the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Engage with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and suppliers for technical support and expedite parts as necessary.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for individuals with:
- Extensive experience as a multi-skilled technician in a dynamic manufacturing or logistics environment.
- Proficiency in mechanical and electrical engineering within production and process settings.
- Apprentice training and experience with fast-moving machinery, pumps, valves, and PLCs.
- Relevant knowledge and experience in a similar fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) role.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities.
- Good understanding of preventive maintenance techniques.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions.
