Role Overview
The Church of England is seeking a skilled and experienced priest to take on the role of Part Time Priest in Charge of Toxteth St Bede with St Clement. This is a unique opportunity to lead a diverse and vibrant community in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the congregation in engaging with alternative revitalisation opportunities, building their capacity and appetite for change, and exploring options for future use of the two church buildings.
- Collaborate with the wider deanery and diocesan team to implement the Fit for Mission strategy.
- Develop and implement a vision for growth and development of the parish, including the development of a new shape of ministry.
- Maintain a sensitivity to the local diverse population and develop strategies to engage with them.
- Develop and encourage children's ministry.
Requirements
- Experience of facilitating change and leading teams.
- Courage to show clear leadership and an encouraging and inclusive manner.
- Enthusiasm for inner-city ministry and a pastoral heart.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others and build strong relationships.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Accountability

Working with the Diocese
Candidates will work closely with the diocesan team to implement the Fit for Mission strategy and to develop the distinctive ministry of the local church within the wider context of the diocese, deanery, and local ecumenical setting.
