Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Trust and Finance Officer. This role will be responsible for providing administrative and financial support to our organization, ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management
    • Process and manage financial transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, and payments.
    • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and record-keeping.
    • Liaise with suppliers and vendors to resolve any financial issues.
  • Administrative Support
    • Provide administrative support to the Board of Trustees and CEO, including arranging meetings and preparing materials.
    • Coordinate the recruitment process, including preparing job descriptions and conducting interviews.
    • Process and maintain personnel records and files.
  • Retail and Sales Support
    • Monitor and manage online stock levels, placing orders as needed.
    • Ensure accurate and up-to-date data in our retail management system.
    • Support the sales team at our retail locations.
  • General Administration
    • Monitor and respond to incoming correspondence and emails.
    • Provide general administrative support to the team as needed.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety and equal opportunities policies.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and Experience
    • Knowledge of basic financial processes and procedures.
    • Working knowledge of accountancy software, including Xero and Excel.
    • Experience in organizing and supporting meetings, including minute-taking.
    • Experience working in the charity sector.
    • Knowledge of bookkeeping and financial reporting.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to analyze data and produce concise reports.
    • Skilled in organizing meetings and supporting the Board.
    • Understanding of the need for professional confidentiality.
Terms and Conditions
  • Location
  • This position is based in our Cambridge office, where we operate a hybrid working model.
  • Salary
  • £28,000 pro rata
  • Working Hours
  • 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Holidays
  • 25 days pro rata per year of paid leave plus the usual public holidays.
  • Expenses
  • All reasonable travel costs incurred as part of the role will be reimbursed as per UKAHT policy.
  • Probation Period
  • The appointment will be subject to a 6 month probationary period.
  • Notice Period
  • Upon completion of the probationary period, the period of notice will be eight weeks by either party.
