Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our IT Infrastructure team as the Head of IT Infrastructure. This is a key role that will oversee the delivery of technology roadmaps, global service sustainment, and transformation, working in conjunction with other key information technology functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Build and maintain a high-performing team that delivers infrastructure services, including platform, cloud, network, end-user computing, and service delivery globally.
  • IT Service Management: Design, create, and oversee a cohesive IT Service Management (ITSM) environment that aligns with industry best practices, established processes, and relevant toolsets.
  • Service Improvement: Ensure the adoption of and commitment towards service improvements aligned to a continuous improvement plan.
  • Innovation: Foster innovative capabilities within the team that drive a competitive advantage and boost productivity.
  • Performance Evaluation: Continuously evaluate the performance of I&O, including the use of metrics such as Key Performance Indicators, Outcome-Driven Metrics, and Objectives and Key Results.
  • Sourcing Strategy: Shape the infrastructure and operations sourcing strategy based on a comprehensive understanding of the supplier landscape.
  • Stakeholder Management: Cultivate successful relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, build an understanding of business needs, and act as a trusted advisor.
  • Compliance: Support periodic reviews by audit teams, compliance teams, and other risk-related functions as necessary.
  • Technology Roadmaps: Develop technology roadmaps for key service lines aligned to IS strategy and business objectives, while staying informed about industry trends and provide input into incorporating emerging technologies into IS service provision aligned to the IS strategy.
  • Global Service Sustainment: Work closely with Global IS Projects and IS Transformation Manager around global service sustainment and evergreening of the IS estate, while ensuring support is aligned to deliverables.
  • Security: Collaborate with Global IS Security to ensure I&O actively contributes, embraces, and applies security strategies.
  • Budget Management: Manage the I&O Budget and promote a culture of continuous cost review and optimization.
  • On-Call Support: May be required to provide out-of-hours support via an on-call rota duty manager rota.

Requirements

  • Strategic Thinking: Experience in developing strategies and technology roadmaps.
  • Cloud Management: Build cloud management solutions, including software development, integration, and ongoing engineering aspects.
  • AI/ML: Apply AI/ML to solve large data challenges and/or to enhance the customer experience.
  • Budget Planning: Budget planning and financial management, preferably with prior experience in chargeback models.
  • Technology Expertise: Deep understanding of current and emerging I&O technologies and practices, and how other enterprises are employing them.
  • DevOps: Establish and improve DevOps, as well as other working practices (e.g., ITIL).
  • Third-Party Management: Third-party management, working closely with sourcing and vendor managers.
  • Cloud Adoption: Leading cloud adoption (at scale), including establishing governance mechanisms, delivering migration projects, and modifying I&O's target operating model.
  • Governance: Developing governance practices to track and measure the quality of services, and maintain service improvement plans.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, including industry, domain-specific knowledge of the enterprise and its business units.
  • Operational Efficiency: Consolidating operations capabilities in large, complex enterprise organizations to deliver improved efficiency, while balancing customer preferences for agility.
  • Leadership: Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning, and execution skills.
  • Staff Development: Develop staff, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Resource Optimization: Maximize effectiveness of nearshore/offshore resource models.
