Senior Controls Software Engineer

Yoh is partnering with a pioneering business in the automotive and motorsport industry to develop cutting-edge technology for electric vehicles. As a Controls Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing control systems, ensuring safety and system integration.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and contribute to the development of innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will have commercial experience, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct safety analysis using FMEA and HazOP to ensure compliance with automotive safety standards like ISO26262.
  • Design vehicle control system architecture, communications systems (CAN, LIN), and safety analysis.
  • Develop software using Matlab, Simulink, C/C++, and PC applications like Visual Studio.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement simulation models, generate data, and analyze results.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Matlab, Simulink, C/C++, and PC applications like Visual Studio.
  • Experience with simulation, model development, data generation, and analysis.
  • Knowledge of vehicle systems, control system architecture, and safety analysis.

This role is based in Central Oxfordshire, and the company is looking for candidates who can reliably commute to the office and work onsite with the wider team.
