About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to support our Engagement team in delivering our communications and fundraising strategy. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of social media, and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Key ResponsibilitiesCommunications:
  • Develop and implement a social media plan to drive engagement and reach our diverse audiences.
  • Design and schedule regular on-brand social media content, including graphics and videos.
  • Track the effectiveness of our social media work and recommend ways forward.
Fundraising:
  • Work with the Engagement Manager to execute the Fundraising Strategy, taking responsibility for delivering on key elements of the strategy.
  • Deliver specific individual giving fundraising appeals and support the development of new and inspiring supporter fundraising campaigns.
  • Approach potential local suppliers and businesses for support, including fundraising items such as raffle/auction prizes or event space.
  • Develop new relationships within the local community and with local businesses.
Requirements
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and experience of managing multiple tasks to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to transform small snippets of information into interesting and engaging stories.
  • Strong administration skills and the ability to work equally well in a team and unsupervised.
  • Good understanding of confidentiality and an interest in, knowledge of or willingness to learn about food poverty.
  • Educated to A level standard (or equivalent job-based standard) with GCSEs in English and Maths.
  • Full driver's license and access to a car.
