Position Overview

The Commercial Finance Analyst position is pivotal within the organization, offering a competitive salary of up to £45,000, along with a performance-based bonus, comprehensive healthcare benefits, a pension plan, and flexible working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Head of Commercial, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing detailed financial models to support strategic initiatives.
  • Managing and updating essential data repositories.
  • Facilitating interdepartmental collaboration and coordination.
  • Engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure data integrity and relevance.
  • Integrating external modeling data while maintaining key industry metrics.
  • Building relationships with financing sources, investors, and other stakeholders to gather capital cost data and explore new opportunities.
  • Assisting in the evaluation of model sensitivities and ensuring financial targets are achieved.
  • Collaborating with Operations and Process Teams to incorporate commercial insights into all opportunities.
  • Identifying and implementing commercially driven enhancements to optimize the existing portfolio.
  • Understanding and managing Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) to improve project Internal Rate of Returns (IRRs) as directed.
  • Staying updated on market trends in technology and Real-Time Markets (RTM), providing insights to the Head of Commercial.

Professional Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in a commercial, financial, or accounting role.
  • A degree in a relevant field, with qualifications such as Chartered Accountant or Chartered Financial Analyst being advantageous.
  • A solid understanding of financial and commercial modeling.
  • Knowledge of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
  • Proficiency in accounting and analytical software, as well as MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
