We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Workforce Planning Lead to join our team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in shaping the future of healthcare by leading the development and implementation of strategic workforce plans.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of all aspects of workforce planning activities, including data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
- Develop and implement comprehensive workforce strategies aligned with the Trust's strategic objectives and NHS Workforce Strategies.
- Collaborate with clinical and corporate leaders to support the development of their own workforce plans and ensure alignment with Trust-wide initiatives.
- Provide expert guidance on workforce planning methodologies, best practices, and legislative requirements.
- Lead projects and initiatives related to workforce optimization, including system redesign and process improvement.
- Manage and develop a team of workforce planning professionals.
About You
You will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in workforce planning within a complex healthcare environment. You possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's degree in a relevant field such as workforce planning, CIPD, or business information, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading operational and strategic workforce planning in a large organization.
- Expertise in workforce planning models, forecasting techniques, and data analysis.
- Proven ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Experience in project management and team leadership.
