Compensation: Up to £60,000 annually

We are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to become a vital part of our innovative team. In this position, you will play a key role in optimizing our cloud infrastructure and refining our deployment methodologies.

Essential Skills:

  • Expertise in AWS
  • Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (BitBucket, GitHub, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Understanding of PHP (React is a plus)
  • Proficient in MySQL

Main Responsibilities:

  • Architect, implement, and oversee scalable and secure AWS environments (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, ECS, IAM).
  • Create and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Work alongside development teams to establish CI/CD pipelines for effective software delivery.
  • Monitor and enhance system performance, security, and resource efficiency.
  • Diagnose and resolve infrastructure challenges, including network and server performance issues.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to enhance application performance and facilitate seamless feature releases.
  • Administer MySQL databases, focusing on schema design, performance optimization, and backups.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for efficient system integration.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in DevOps, cloud technologies, and infrastructure automation.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a comparable role.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, ECS, IAM).
  • Comprehensive understanding of IaC principles and experience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Experience with the Symfony framework and developing RESTful APIs.
  • Skilled in managing and optimizing MySQL databases.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools such as Bitbucket or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to troubleshoot complex production issues.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging solutions (New Relic, AWS CloudWatch).
  • Understanding of security best practices in AWS environments.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with additional programming languages (PHP, React).
