We are seeking an experienced Product Technologist, responsible for Drinks & Non-Food, to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage our supply base and logistics/depot partners to deliver ingredients and finished products compliant with Nando's food safety, quality, ethical, legal, and sustainability standards.
  • Develop, maintain, review, and continuously improve all systems, processes, and standards required for food safety and due diligence.
  • Ensure that all New Product Development (NPD) for your category and the Logistics/depot partners meets or exceeds the Nando's Food Policy requirements and complies with all relevant legislation.
  • Collaborate with your team to develop and improve systems, procedures, and processes which deliver the Nando's Food Policy and implement these within your supply and partner base.
  • Stay up-to-date with supply chain, relevant legislation changes, and product trends for your category, to actively drive change and influence Nando's NPD and Policy to meet any new trends, with support from the Quality Systems technologist.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing and/or retail sector with a focus on supplier management and visit expertise (chilled, drinks advantageous).
  • Appropriate/relevant food certification standards (ideal).
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards, quality assurance protocols, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in a customer service complaint handling and close-out with customer service software training/skills.

This is a hybrid role, and you will be required in our Putney offices 3 times a week. You may be required to work additional hours as necessary to fulfill your role and meet the demands of the business, this may include weekends and Bank holidays in order to cover escalations or emergencies.
