Main Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating a plan and allocating cargo via a network of articulated trunk lines into depots across the UK domestic network for final mile delivery. This is a critical role in ensuring customer deliveries are achieved on time, requiring high quality and attention to detail.

Key Tasks:

  • Effective communication with customers, partners, and internal departments via email and phone.
  • Responsible for allocating and planning up to 15 trunks per night.
  • Utilization of pallet networks or parcel carriers to support the timely flow of cargo.
  • Collaboration with colleagues across the UK to ensure a consistent and collaborative approach.
  • Communication with agreed hauliers to ensure adherence to company policy.
  • Proactive approach to sourcing capacity for the timely movement of freight.
  • Provision of proof of delivery (PODs) to meet customer requirements.
  • Provision of key performance indicators (KPIs) and reports internally as required.
  • Resolution of credit management queries as necessary.
  • General day-to-day administrative duties.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of regulations regarding the movement of hazardous goods is highly desirable.
  • High attention to detail and a good understanding of internal customers and supply chain.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
  • Previous experience and evidence of performing to a high level in a similar role.
