Job Title: Apprentice Gas Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Apprentice Gas Engineer to join our team at Tudor Employment Agency. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting gas safety inspections, issuing Gas Safety Certificates, and performing maintenance and repair work on gas installations and appliances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive gas safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Test and check the functionality of gas appliances, such as boilers, cookers, and heaters.
  • Issue accurate and compliant Gas Safety Certificates for installations and appliances.
  • Record and report any safety defects or non-compliance issues, and provide recommendations for rectification.
  • Perform maintenance and repair work on gas installations and appliances as required.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with relevant regulations and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Current Gas Safe registration (mandatory).
  • Relevant qualifications in gas engineering (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Gas Installation and Maintenance or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in conducting gas safety inspections and issuing Gas Safety Certificates.
  • Experience in maintenance and repair of gas appliances.
  • Strong technical knowledge of gas appliances, systems, and safety standards.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
