Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEN teaching assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a SEN teaching assistant, you will be working with a non-verbal pupil with complex behavioural needs, providing individualized support and care to ensure their educational and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one support to a non-verbal pupil with complex behavioural needs
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to meet the pupil's needs
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to ensure the pupil's educational and personal development
  • Provide emotional support and stability to the pupil
  • Assist with the pupil's daily routine, including personal care and hygiene
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs
  • Knowledge of SEN/SEMH and pastoral care
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, understanding, and a nurturing approach
