Job Title: Experienced Primary Teacher

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Primary Teacher to join our team in a Residential Primary School in Chigwell. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching and a passion for working with children with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH).

The school is rated Outstanding by Ofsted and provides a supportive and inclusive environment for children aged 5-11. The school's unique approach to education focuses on grouping children into 'houses' based on their social needs and abilities, creating a family-like atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach the national curriculum, with a focus on KS1/KS2
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs of SEMH children
  • Build strong relationships with pupils and staff, promoting a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective teaching approach
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • QTS or Graduate Teaching Status Qualification
  • Experience working with children with SEMH needs
  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum, particularly KS1/KS2
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
