Java Developer Wanted for PropTech Company in London

Avanti Recruitment is currently working with a company based in London that operates within the PropTech sector and is looking to expand its team by hiring a Java Developer with experience as a Financial Analyst or expertise in Cash Flow Modelling or Internal Rate of Return (IRR).

The company adopts a hybrid work model, requiring the successful candidate to be present in the office two days a week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays).

This role will involve working with a small team of 15 and will be responsible for contributing to the full software development lifecycle, with a specific focus on refactoring a cash flow modelling engine that the company has been developing over the past few years.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Java as their primary coding language, with proficiency in SQL and Springboot. Familiarity with React on the front-end is a plus, especially if the candidate has prior experience with it.

Key Requirements:
  • Experience with Java
  • Experience with SQL
  • Financial modelling expertise, specifically in Cash Flow Modelling and Internal Rate of Return (IRR)
  • Strong experience working within a Banking or Investment company
  • 2:1 or 1st Class Degree in Finance, Mathematics, or Computer Science
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with relevant coding languages, with Java being a requirement

The salary for this position is up to £75,000, with a discretionary bonus up to 10% and 25 days of holiday, plus flexible working hours.
