Job Summary:

The General Manager - F&B is responsible for the overall operation of the restaurant, ensuring the highest standards in professional management and administration, as well as effective and fair personnel development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Manage the relationship with all stakeholders, including the signature Chef, Chef de Cuisine, and restaurant team.
  • Employee Development: Motivate, discipline, direct, and supervise the work of all employees in the restaurant, developing and maintaining training programs to ensure a high degree of staff professionalism.
  • Operations Management: Manage day-to-day operations of the restaurant, handle complaints, and make effective service recovery, ensuring standards are being followed in accordance with F&B policies and procedures.
  • Quality Control: Regularly inspect food and beverage quality, follow established and proper accounting procedures, and maintain daily log books with clear and concise information on operations.
  • Guest Experience: Establish guest databases with preference records of regular guests, schedule employees to maintain hotel service standards within budgeted labor costs, and assign responsibilities to subordinates, conducting regular performance checks.
  • Inventory and Maintenance: Liaise with stewarding on inventory and breakage control, implement weekly cleaning schedules for operating equipment, and manage organization and cleanliness of departmental areas.
  • Marketing and Promotions: Develop new and special promotions that will improve guest satisfaction under the guidelines of the Sofitel standards operating procedures, coordinate promotional plans with Public Relations, and menu cycles with the Chef de Cuisine.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in Hotel Restaurant Management or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of hotel experience.
