Procurement Specialist

Centurion Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain management team, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials to support our operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Procurement and Vendor Management: Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best price and quality, issue vendor questionnaires, and maintain vendor certifications.
- Order Processing: Prepare and process purchase orders using Sage 200, track deliveries, and ensure all supporting documentation is received for critical materials.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels to avoid overstocking, assist with stocktakes, and liaise with production teams to meet purchasing requirements.
- General Administration: Provide administrative support, manage third-party contractors, and maintain an organized work environment.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to company health and safety policies, challenge unsafe acts, and contribute to a positive QHSE culture.
- Qualifications: SCQF Level 8-9 (HND, Technical Apprenticeship, or Bachelor's Degree) in supply chain management or a related discipline.
- Experience: Preferably, you have experience in a manufacturing and engineering environment, purchasing, vendor management, and using Sage 200 manufacturing.
- Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills, attention to detail, task management, and proficiency in MS Office.
- Personal Qualities: We need someone enthusiastic, committed, and a fast learner who can work independently as well as in a team.
