About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Risk Management Specialist to join our team at Legal & General. As a Risk Management Specialist, you will play a critical role in assessing and managing risk factors for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review customer applications to identify risk factors and assess whether we can offer Life, Critical Illness Cover, and Income Protection applications.
- Accurately assess and document life and disability risks by reviewing applications and decide which terms, if any, can be offered up to the value based on your autonomy level.
- Identify complaints and escalate to an authorized complaints handler so that they are acted upon quickly and root causes highlighted to ensure compliance with complaints response time limits.
- Take ownership of maintaining an excellent knowledge and understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Understand the commitments that are made about the level of service during the marketing and sales processes ensuring the area is capable of meeting those expectations and that customers' reasonable expectation of performance and service are met.
Requirements:
- Experience working within a financial services organization.
- An understanding of the risk factors for mortality and morbidity (desirable).
- Understanding of legislations and regulatory requirements would be preferable.
- Effective written and verbal communication through all media.
