Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Assistant (Doctoral Candidate) to join our team in the Semantic Systems Engineering research area. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of approaches and algorithms that enable humans and technical systems to seamlessly collect, integrate, find, understand, and process heterogeneous data from different data silos and software systems.
The research focus is on the construction, continuous development, and refinement of knowledge graphs, the (semi-)automated creation of semantic models, and the improvement of accessibility and usability for semantic technologies in everyday life.
Responsibilities- Design, development, and implementation of algorithms and models in the field of semantic modeling
- Linking knowledge graphs with large language models and other approaches from the field of machine learning
- Presentation of scientific findings in seminars, at meetings, and conferences
- Promotion and development of your personal and scientific qualifications
We are looking for a university graduate with a Master's degree in computer science, engineering (mechanical engineering, electrical engineering), physics, mathematics, computer linguistics, or comparable courses of study. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of semantics, ontologies, and knowledge representation or the semantic web. Additionally, the candidate should enjoy data management and programming, which is reflected in their CV.
