Essential Experience:
  • At least 5 years in a commercial setting with expertise in:
  • Linux Administration.
  • Application support (e.g., PostgreSQL, Radius, DNS).
  • Scripting (preferably Python and/or PowerShell).
  • AWS (CloudFormation, Route53, S3, Lambda, Security, and troubleshooting).
  • Automation tools (Puppet, Ansible, Git).
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
  • Networking and firewall knowledge.
  • Familiarity with VMware and/or OpenStack.
  • Experience with backup and replication technologies (ideally Veeam and Zerto).
  • Structured change management and ITIL knowledge.

Desirable Skills:
  • Familiarity with common applications such as Apache, MSSQL, Postgres.
  • Networking (TCP/IP, MPLS, VPN, VLANs, IPv6).
  • Kubernetes and deployment pipelines.
  • Exposure to public and private cloud platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Knowledge of standards including ISO9001, ISO27001.
  • Previous experience in a Telecoms environment.
  • Comfortable with a Kanban workload management approach.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
