Job Title: Depot Manager

McQueens Dairies Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Depot Manager to lead our depot operations to excellence. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our depot, including the management of staff, vehicles, and inventory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Health & Safety: Drive a proactive H&S leadership culture with regular safety audits and behavioural observations.
  • Depot Team Performance: Review key performance indicators (KPIs) using a balanced scorecard approach, discussing regularly with Team Leaders and drivers.
  • Depot Processes: Ensure accurate stock reconciliation and control, maintain good housekeeping standards, and ensure the cold chain is maintained.
  • Vehicle Fleet Management: Communicate effectively with the Transport team to ensure all faults and repairs are carried out as soon as possible.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Manage the facility in accordance with H&S regulations and technical food safety standards.
Requirements:
  • Background in dairy, food, or drinks distribution preferred.
  • Management experience in a nightshift operation.
  • Exposure to Food safety audit standards such as BRC.
  • IOSH certified.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Applications (Excel, Word).
