Position Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Pediatric Consultant with a specialized focus on Diabetes and Endocrinology to join a dedicated team of professionals. This role involves collaboration with a group of experienced consultants, contributing to a comprehensive pediatric care environment.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering acute pediatric emergency and outpatient care.
  • Providing on-call support in both acute pediatrics and neonatal care.
  • Engaging in clinical duties alongside administrative responsibilities.

Team Dynamics

Joining a team of 14 other pediatric consultants, the post holder will be expected to bring expertise in Diabetes and Endocrinology, with opportunities to expand their clinical interests in various pediatric specialties.

On-Call Duties

The on-call commitments will be structured to ensure a balanced workload, with a rotation of 1 in 12 for general pediatric on-call and 1 in 7 for diabetes-related calls.
