Murphy is currently recruiting for an Environmental Manager to join our award-winning Energy team on the SSE ASTI Framework in Scotland, covering Power, Transmission & Distribution projects such as Substations & Overhead Lines.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the Environmental & Sustainability aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with all requirements and providing leadership & support to the team.
- Establish and provide leadership in best practice in environmental and sustainability matters in conjunction with the SHESQ function.
- Take a lead with site management teams to ensure compliance with all environmental and sustainability plans.
- Lead, partake and oversee accident / incident investigations in accordance with the Company procedure and analysing all data, making recommendations to avoid any reoccurrences.
- Manage, collate & review environmental and sustainability statistics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement environmental and sustainability campaigns and improvement plans in agreement with the Operations Director / SHES Director.
- Manage and where required be involved in the preparation & review of environmental and sustainability documents including those of 3rd parties.
- Manage and produce environmental and sustainability plans, procedures and associated documentation and check compliance.
- Identify significant environmental and sustainability issues and help set-up contracts / yards to include appropriate controls.
- Manage and identify any environmental and sustainability consents / permits or exemptions that are required and ensure they are obtained.
- Provide input and review of pre-qualification, tender and environmental and sustainability award submissions.
- Solid Understanding of Net Zero principles.
- Experience in Environmental Incident Management and Investigation.
