Job Role

Accountable to a Project Manager or Commercial Manager for all financial aspects of a project. Facilitate communication with the client, PQS, and senior personnel. Expected to oversee and mentor other members of the commercial team.

Duties

  • Assume commercial responsibility for the financial function within these areas, collaborating closely with the Contracts Manager and reporting to the Managing QS.

  • Optimize cash flow through prompt preparation of valuations, submission of invoices, and collection of payments.
  • Assess plant and equipment schedules to ensure effective utilization.
  • Formulate a strategy for finalizing client negotiations.

Person Specification

  • Highly proficient in computer applications.
  • Ideally possess a minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of the NEC Suite of Documents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently, meeting deadlines with a high level of accuracy while managing a small team of site-based Quantity Surveyors.
