Senior Electrical Design Engineer

A leading multidisciplinary design and build contractor is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team, providing critical support within their Low Voltage (LV) Engineering function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead LV design elements on allocated projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to standards.
  • Support LV Design Engineers with project compliance, technical specifications, and company QA requirements.
  • Mentor Junior LV Design Engineers, fostering skill and capability development.
  • Attend client sites to produce compliance reports on existing LV Assemblies.
  • Take a senior role in complex site migration projects, leading a team of LV Engineers and site operatives.
  • Design hardware systems using proprietary components for LV Assemblies.

Requirements:

  • Detailed knowledge of motor starters and their applications.
  • Understanding of relay logic and electrical control circuits.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Promis-E, and EPLAN.
  • Knowledge of BS EN Power Switchgear and Controlgear Assemblies and BS EN 60947 Low-voltage Switchgear and Controlgear.
  • At least 5 years of experience as an LV Design Engineer.
  • HNC/HND Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
