We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to drive growth and expansion in the Defence and Aerospace sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with clients and partners, and developing strategic business development plans to drive growth and revenue.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and nurture new business opportunities to generate leads and drive growth.
- Manage and qualify inbound leads in the Defence and Aerospace sector.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to stay ahead of the competition.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners to drive business growth.
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to drive revenue and growth.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to develop target lists and marketing campaigns.
- Attend networking events and meetings to build local profile and establish relationships with key stakeholders.
- Report on BD activities including contacts, meetings, and leads.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related field in the Defence and Aerospace sector.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to build strong relationships with clients and partners.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to drive business growth and revenue.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a real team player.
- Familiarity with local markets in Oxford, Milton Keynes, or surrounding areas.
- Experience managing data and working with CRM systems, ideally HubSpot.
- Knowledge of lead/contact management systems (e.g. LinkedIn sales navigator).
- Construction/Fit-out experience would be an advantage but not essential.
