Advance TRS is a prominent consultancy firm focused on delivering infrastructure solutions across various sectors in the UK, including Rail, Highways, Civils, Nuclear, and Utilities. We are currently in search of a talented and driven Cost Management Specialist to become part of our team for a significant Nuclear construction initiative in Bristol.

Role Overview:

In the role of Cost Management Specialist, you will be essential in overseeing financial aspects, contracts, and cost management for the Hinkley Point C project. Your collaboration with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders will be vital to ensure the project meets its deadlines, stays within budget, and adheres to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, oversee, and track budgets and financial plans.
  • Perform cost analysis and implement value engineering strategies.
  • Manage procurement activities, including tendering and contract discussions.
  • Assess and mitigate risks related to project finances.
  • Deliver precise and timely financial reports.
  • Work alongside project teams to maintain effective cost management.
  • Support the achievement of project goals and deliverables.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, ideally within infrastructure projects (Rail, Highways, Civils, Utilities), with nuclear experience being advantageous.
  • Comprehensive understanding of cost management, contract administration, and procurement processes.
  • A proactive and detail-oriented work ethic.
  • Commitment to pursuing chartership (e.g., RICS, ICES).
