Position Overview

The McGregor Boyall Procurement recruitment team is pleased to present an exciting opportunity for a newly established position within a leading organization.

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, requiring a minimum of two days per week in the office.

The successful candidate will be a mid-level Category Procurement Specialist, possessing substantial experience in sectors such as Facilities Management, Real Estate, Outsourcing, and Professional Services. Familiarity with catering and security services contracts is particularly beneficial due to upcoming renewals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the team in overseeing the complete procurement lifecycle, which includes sourcing, selecting, and onboarding new vendors.
  • Contribute to the formulation and execution of procurement strategies that align with organizational goals and yield favorable results.
  • Engage actively in negotiating contract terms and financial agreements with suppliers.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with essential suppliers.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure compliance with contracts and service level agreements.
  • Assist business stakeholders in budget creation and management, providing analytical insights, facilitating budget compliance, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with relevant business units to comprehend their procurement requirements and deliver effective support.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in procurement.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a proven track record of analyzing expenditure data, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and persuasion skills, capable of negotiating successfully with suppliers and achieving consensus among diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of TUPE regulations and their impact on procurement and outsourcing decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating contract renewals in Facilities Management, Professional Services, or Outsourcing; understanding of Real Estate and catering is a plus.
  • Willingness to work in the office two days per week.
  • The organization is open to considering candidates who are available immediately or those with notice periods of up to 12 weeks.
