Job Overview

About The Crowd:

We are a multi-disciplinary design studio seeking a Senior Wayfinding Designer to join our growing team on a 12-month maternity contract with the potential to move to permanent.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work across various sectors, including urban realm, culture, events, and sport, managing a team of designers on wayfinding projects.

You will work closely with our Managing Director to build and maintain relationships with clients, focusing on strategic business growth and new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee complex design projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to briefs, timelines, and budgets.
  • Supervise the creation and quality control of designs, drawings, and specifications across all project phases.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional content showcasing our wayfinding work.
  • Coordinate with the team and partners to produce assets for active wayfinding projects.
  • Spearhead new business efforts, including bid generation, fee proposals, and tender submissions.
  • Cultivate business opportunities and maintain strong relationships with the team.
  • Manage multiple projects, including budget oversight, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Guide and inspire the design team, overseeing resource management and supporting recruitment.
  • Work with the Managing Director to implement the wayfinding strategy and assist in refining the wayfinding proposition.
Key Skills/Requirements
  • Significant previous experience in a similar role.
  • Advanced technical proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Proven success in leading complex projects, with wayfinding experience a plus.
  • Versatility in both independent and team-oriented work environments.
  • Friendly, approachable, and deeply passionate.
  • Skilled in juggling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management.
