Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs to the prison's building fabric, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
  • Use hand and power tools to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety and well-being, adhering to health and safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working in a prison environment or a similar setting.
  • Proven skills in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Previous experience of working within a building fabric or Hard FM environment.
  • Up-to-date First Aid at Work qualification.
  • Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
  • Good Health and Safety knowledge.
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills.
