Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Europlan Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a focal point for all project-related health, safety, and environmental activities.
- Liaise with project managers, construction managers, and client HSE representatives to ensure HSSE attendance at key project meetings.
- Support the development and implementation of HSE management systems.
- Conduct regular site inspections and provide feedback on observations.
- Assist in the investigation of incidents and near misses, and assist in the development of corrective and preventative actions.
- Support the production of risk assessments and method statements.
- Actively promote a culture of personal accountability and encourage personnel to stop any work that they perceive to be unsafe.
- Monitor and report on project performance against Europlan and SEI KPIs.
Requirements:
- Recognized H&S qualification (NEBOSH/BSC/RoSPA/SVQ) – minimum NEBOSH Certificate / S/NVQ level 3.
- Formal training in Environmental Management preferred.
- Industry experience with a trade background preferred.
- Experience of developing and implementing HSE management systems.
- Full conversant on developing risk assessments (General / COSHH / Fire / Unplanned Events).
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Presenting and developing training / inductions.
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office systems.
- Ability to produce and present reports and statistical HSE information.
