Job Overview

Lead Engineering Specialist | Hybrid Work Model | Glasgow

As the Lead Engineering Specialist, you will play a pivotal role within the engineering team, delivering exceptional and motivating contributions to the group. The engineering team encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities, providing specialized technical support to the engineering function.

We are looking for candidates with prior experience in a comparable position within the construction sector. The level of seniority for this role will be determined by your expertise and credentials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to produce high-quality visuals, schematics, and documentation that enhance the overall output of the department.
  • Offer support and mentorship to fellow team members while developing systems and processes that ensure consistency across all projects.
  • Possess expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with the ability to guide and mentor junior technicians.
  • Manage specific project tasks effectively while overseeing your own workload and that of others.
  • Champion innovation and take the lead in establishing best practices for efficient software utilization and new operational methodologies.
Experience Required:
  • A passion for Revit design is essential.
  • A commitment to producing precise work and taking pride in your contributions.
  • A proactive approach to driving continuous improvements through your own initiatives to enhance the quality, accuracy, and efficiency of drawing and model production.
  • A quick learner and self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills to complete projects effectively.
  • A drive to enhance existing workflows and contribute collaboratively to the technical team.
  • Extensive experience with Autodesk Revit is required.
  • Extensive experience with AutoCAD is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
  • Desirable but not mandatory: EngTech MICE Dynamo/Python experience.
