Work Schedule:

  • Day and night trunking.
  • Tramping during both day and night shifts.
  • Weekdays from Monday to Friday.

Compensation Structure:

  • £16.03 per hour for daytime shifts.
  • £16.81 per hour for nighttime shifts.
  • £25.00 for overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities of the Class 1 HGV Operator:

  • Drive a 48,000LB vehicle to various locations, handling deliveries and product pickups, while ensuring all dispatches are recorded accurately.
  • Conduct thorough pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle as per company guidelines, checking tyre pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls. Report any safety concerns using standard reporting procedures.
  • Adhere to the designated delivery schedule and follow all operational directives meticulously. Collaborate with dispatchers and other team members daily to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and professionally.
  • Maintain compliance with productivity standards to guarantee timely and effective service to all customers.
  • Follow all mandated safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications for the Class 1 HGV Operator:

  • Valid Class 1 Driver (HGV) Licence with a minimum of one year of experience.
  • Possession of a CPC Card.
  • Digital Tachograph Card with an understanding of Working Time Directives (WTD).
  • Clean driving record with no DD, DR, or IN10 convictions.
  • Valid Driving Licence.
