Data Governance Director

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Global Operations Data Governance to join our team at Waters Corporation. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for establishing a data governance framework that aligns with our broader enterprise goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a data governance framework that ensures data quality, accuracy, and consistency across Global Operations.
- Lead a cross-functional team of subject-matter experts to drive data governance initiatives and improve data management practices.
- Create and execute a roadmap of pragmatic improvements in roles, processes, policies, and tools to enhance data governance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with the overall enterprise, including master data management, enterprise IT systems, and other relevant areas.
- Develop and attract best-in-class talent to support data governance initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of progressive experience in data governance within supply chain and manufacturing environments.
- 5+ years of experience with SAP (SAP ECC, APO, and S/4 Hana) and SAP master data management, including large ERP transformation programs.
- Proven ability to establish data governance from the ground up.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing global, multi-functional projects.
- Strong influencing skills, proven ability to work across organizational boundaries, motivating change and harmonization across a global organization.
- Results-oriented mindset, operates with a high sense of urgency.
- Proven track record of solving problems, breaking down barriers, and delivering results ahead of schedule.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
