Position Overview

Environmental Consultant - Join a prominent global food manufacturing organization known for its exceptional product quality and commitment to sustainability.

This role offers a unique opportunity for a seasoned Environmental Consultant to contribute to the development and execution of environmental strategies that align with corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities

As an Environmental Consultant, your primary duties will include:

  • Formulating and executing the environmental strategy for the site, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Leading significant initiatives such as new facility installations and projects aimed at reducing carbon emissions, minimizing food waste, and optimizing energy and water usage.
  • Collaborating with the Site SHE Manager to foster a robust environmental culture through education, training, and coaching, aimed at enhancing environmental practices and performance.
  • Providing analytical insights to enhance environmental performance, focusing on carbon management and waste and effluent targets.
  • Identifying opportunities for performance enhancement, working closely with the SHE Manager and site management to implement projects that achieve sustainability targets and improve operational efficiency.
  • Delivering comprehensive environmental reports and offering strategic recommendations to assist management in making informed decisions and prioritizing actions.
Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in an environmental role, preferably within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong report writing skills.
  • Current knowledge of environmental legislation and best practices.
