About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Transaction Services Director to join our team at BDO UK LLP. As a key member of our advisory team, you will be responsible for leading large-scale client engagements, managing project teams, and developing new service stream practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Lead project teams on large client engagements, determining project scope, resourcing requirements, and monitoring progress against budget and timeframe.
  • Team Management: Contribute to the management of project teams, briefing, supervising, and developing junior staff.
  • Service Development: Assist Partners, Directors, and Associate Directors in developing existing and new service stream practices.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise with clients on risk management, progress, and monitoring information flows, and take responsibility for delivering answers to clients.
  • Feedback and Opportunities: Ensure client feedback is captured, addressed, and effectively communicated to project managers/directors. Identify and recognize new project and business opportunities, and inform project directors or partners as appropriate.
  • Business Development: Support the conversion of opportunities into chargeable work, including pitch participation.
  • Ambassadorship: Act as an ambassador of the firm, participate in marketing events, and keep abreast of the wide range of services the firm offers.
  • Talent Development: Support recruitment, retention, motivation, and learning and development of the Transaction Services team, acting as a role model to more junior staff.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Thorough working knowledge of Transaction Services activities, ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent), or relevant work experience, previous staff supervision or management experience, and excellent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Continuous Development: Demonstrates a proactive approach to continuous development.
