About the Role:

Merrifield Consultants is partnering with Cherry Trees, a charity providing home-from-home care for children with complex disabilities and a meaningful break for their families across the region. We are seeking an experienced Community and Events Fundraiser to join their small but growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive community and events fundraising strategy to engage existing and potential supporters.
  • Plan and deliver successful community and events fundraising activities, including golf days, live music events, and a Christmas market.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with corporates, community groups, and organizations to increase fundraising revenue.
  • Manage the charity's Challenge Events programme, including partnerships with Choose a Challenge and Run for Charity.
  • Utilize a CRM to track data and provide insights to inform fundraising strategies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in planning and delivering successful community and events fundraising activities.
  • Strong understanding of fundraising regulations, health and safety requirements, and general laws.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on storytelling.
  • Experience with event marketing, including tools, systems, and performance monitoring.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Cherry Trees provides a lifeline for families through its home-from-home care for children with complex disabilities and its wrap-around support for the family. The charity supports 70 children from 63 families through 52,750 hours of care annually.
