About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Doctor to join our team at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. As a key member of our community mental health service, you will provide senior medical input to our community teams, inpatient ward, and acute service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide high-quality clinical leadership and expertise to our community mental health teams.
  2. Develop and implement effective strategies to improve adult mental health services in the borough.
  3. Collaborate with our Consultant team to provide senior medical input and advice to community teams.
  4. Contribute to the development of teaching and research opportunities within the specialty.
  5. Ensure that all work is conducted in accordance with our Health Board's procedures and operating policies.
  6. Maintain the confidence of business plans and development strategies formulated for the specialty.

Requirements

Applicants must hold full registration and a licence to practice with the GMC. Candidates for Consultant posts must also be on the GMC Specialist Register (including via CESR/European Community Rights) or will have a CCT/CESR(CP) date within 6 months of interview.

This position involves Regulated Activity with adults as defined by the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act (amended by the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012) and the following checks will be undertaken following any conditional offer:
