Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at an outstanding SEMH school in Solihull.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with SEMH needs, providing tailored support to help them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

You will work closely with teachers to manage behaviors, deliver 1-2-1 support, and lead small group activities, ensuring that every child receives the support they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting students with SEMH needs in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment
  • Working closely with teachers to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Providing 1-2-1 support to students, helping them to overcome challenges and build confidence
  • Leading small group activities, promoting social skills and teamwork
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of all students, reporting any concerns to the DSL
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs
  • Excellent behavior management skills
  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Passion for supporting young people to achieve their full potential
