Norton Blake, a prominent player in the financial sector, is seeking a Murex Testing Team Leader for an initial 12-month engagement.

This position offers a hybrid working model and is governed by IR35 regulations.

The successful candidate will spearhead the testing initiatives for a Murex implementation project within the Treasury division. This role entails the formulation and execution of detailed testing plans, methodologies, and scripts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee integration testing across various interconnected systems, including confirmations, settlements, and Bloomberg VCON.
  • Provide timely and comprehensive updates on testing progress, defect management, and overall testing status to stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, developers, and business analysts to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.
  • Identify, document, and manage defects through to resolution.


Essential Skills:

  • Murex Testing Expertise: Extensive knowledge and practical experience in Murex testing are crucial.
  • MxTest Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with the MxTest tool is advantageous.
  • Financial Products Acumen: Strong understanding of financial instruments, particularly those pertinent to the Treasury function.
  • Integration Testing Leadership: Proven track record in leading integration testing involving multiple systems such as confirmations, settlements, and Bloomberg VCON.
  • Team Leadership: Capability to guide and mentor a small team of both onshore and offshore testing analysts, promoting a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Experience: 7-10 years of testing experience, preferably within the financial services industry.
