We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Java Software Engineer to join our development team as we build innovative solutions at Strategic Imperatives.

To succeed in this role, you will be a team player with a keen eye for detail and a creative problem solver with a "get things done" attitude. You should be eager to help and share your knowledge, with a passion for learning and improving yourself and others.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with others through whiteboarding and pair programming sessions.
  2. Produce clean code and practice merciless refactoring supported by unit/acceptance testing.
  3. Deliver high-quality software.
  4. Refactor, troubleshoot, and upgrade existing software.
  5. Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development.

Requirements:

  1. Experience in delivering scalable, fully tested cloud-native solutions - particularly with AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS).
  2. Strong functional programming skills in Java, Spring Boot, Docker, Git, OpenAPI.
  3. Eager to learn, help others, and share knowledge.
  4. A flexible but organized work style.
